As the City of Cape Town prepares to publish its 2025 General Valuation Roll on 20 February 2026, it is vital for property owners to be prepared. This valuation determines your monthly rates from 1 July 2026 and—if left unchallenged—will likely remain in effect until 2029.
Residents have a 60-day window to review their valuation and lodge an objection if the market value (as of 1 July 2025) appears incorrect.
